I know nothing about watches.

My sis wants to buy her son in law a wedding gift - she's prepared to spend £300

what is good for that price??

can you get an omega for that much??

You certainly won't get an Omega for that much money, not even used.

More details on what you're looking for are needed dressy/sports etc., but Christopher Ward come highly recommended on here and are in that price range.

At £300 Christopher Ward is by far your best bet

Need to know more about the kind of person.

I would be going for a Seiko over a Tissot for the everyday and wouldn't even touch a TWSteel, as not a fan a bit too try hard over classy.

Hamilton, Seiko and something russian maybe Vostok would be the kind of things I would look to be buying someone else.

Price alone is a very poor way to judge; way too much choice! Try a google shopping search and give folks a pointer to something you like the look of.

As a wedding gift? Doubt it will look classy in a few years.

So a Tissot with a sapphire crystal, applied markers and logo with a bombproof automatic ETA movement in a timeless style wouldn't get a look in then ???

I had a £300 what second watch dilemma c. 6 weeks ago when my PO went in for service...

I opted for the Tissot Visodate after considering very many options...

To date, I am absolutely delighted with it and have received many cvompliments... All have been very surprised by the price.

As things are going, I reckon the PO will get far less use once back (eventually).

See my earlier thread 'What watch for £300'... (I think)
