Blancpain

I have a Blancpain 50 fathom. Had it since 1969. Has anyone come across this watch at all?

Beauty, worth a bob or two and one of the original diver watches. Given the choice I'd opt for a milspec with full bezel but that's lovely. Every bit as important as the Rolii of that generation.

I'll tell you how I got this watch. In 1969 I had a pal whose brother in law had a gov surplus shop and bought out of gov surplus auctions. This pal wanted to borrow my Land Rover to go on hols to France so I did a deal, he lent me his mini gave me £15 and this Blancpain watch. Anyway I used it until my Rolex came along in 1984 then sort of left it hanging about. Then my son told me it had a bit of value so I reserected it and now it gets a bit of use.
