PH Giveaway: Win A Vauxhall Track Day

Win a session at a BTCC circuit driving the VXR range

Throughout June and July, Vauxhall will be running a series of track days at some of the best circuits in the UK, and PistonHeads has got a bunch of passes to giveaway.

Participants in the Vauxhall VXR Track Day will get the chance to put in some seriously quick laps in a range of VXR performance cars while undergoing expert tuition by professional drivers. Exclusive use of Brands Hatch, Rockingham, Croft and Thruxton will give you the inside line on the best way to tackle these BTCC tracks in the most powerful Vauxhalls on sale today.

Ten lucky PH readers and a guest will get the chance to attend a VXR Track Day of their choice, where they’ll experience 105 minutes of track time in the VXR range, as well as a hot passenger lap alongside a top VX Racing BTCC driver.

The chosen PHers will also get the chance to not only put their driving skills to the test (and against the clock) in the VXR Experience Autotest, but will get to perform a real pitstop on a VX Racing British Touring Car. There’s even the chance to test the Adaptive 4x4 system in Vauxhall’s new Insignia on a low grip surface. As an added bonus visitors to the VXR Track Days will also get to see the new 321bhp Insignia VXR super-saloon.

COMPETITION NOW CLOSED

Further details can be found at the Vauxhall VXR Track Day website, where you can still book your place should you not be one of the lucky PH readers pulled randomly from our office top hat.

Good luck.

The wife and I will be attending again this year, we have done a couple of Thruxton events followed by Rockingham last year which we both enjoyed the tight and twisty circuit. This year we are both attending the VXR owners evening at Brands Hatch to hone our track skills a little further with the instructors prior to another few trackdays in our own VXR's during the summer months and another trip to the ring later in the year.

Well worth the money and for those who have never but would like to experience track driving then you cant beat this as an introduction, no worries or concerns about your own car first up, no high cost trackday insurance and ex rally, BTCC, touring car drivers to help coach you through the circuit and not forgetting the good feed they put on ; )

I've got my slot booked for Rockingham on the Saturday, can't wait biggrin What is the format for these days? Are you allocated 1 drive in each car, or do you queue up for a go in the car, or some other method?

I'm doing the Thursday at Rockingham in June.

Can't wait - not done much track day driving before, but thought it would be a brilliant chance to try out the VXR range, get some decent instruction and get used to track driving without risking my own car. Winner all round, and cheaper than a lot of the other 'experience' days!

When on the track session you pick your car then go out for a few laps then back in and swap.
With the amount of cars there is not much queing unless you are after a specific car which wont be long till its back in.

So there's nothing stopping you from constantly queuing up for the VXR8 then? biggrin

It has been changed, but might take a while to update so I have created the email address "competition@pistonheads.com" to catch anyone who follows the old link!
