Any ideas?

Don't mind paying a couple of quid but all the car parks look tiny and the side roads are all residents parking...

Hi, live here (bit late, but for future sats!) resident parking is only usually in the week and free to anyone at the weekends - dbl check the signs tho, my road is like this just behind the High Street.

Aside from that if your down on the Darkes Lane high street (near station) you could use either Sainsburys or there is a car park behind the shops in Darkes Lane. Alternatively I think the station car par is only £2 for the day at the weekends).
