So there I was sitting in the rx7 admiring the evening, the other half was talking about something random and overhead I thought I know that noise!.

Expecting to see a spitfire overhead I look out the window and boom not one but four merlin engines making the most wonderfull noise. It carried out to full circles close to the shopping centre an then went off smile

Have to say that it made my evening, lovely sunset, my Rotery and one of my favourite planes of all time! smile

I'm off to calm down few

Regards

Matt

Gets around a bit that plane! It flew quite low over Enfield (North London) last night. Not sure I've ever seen one flying before... Maybe the latest round of cut backs have forced the RAF to recomission it. biggrin

Good to see i wasn't going mental whilst driving around the top of the M25! It passed right over me, quite a sight.

There was a nice maroon coloured TVR (reg beginning R500) cruising in the specs zone as well.

It was the flying legends weekend, pity about the P51 that got hit by the Skyraider and crashed, £3million down the swanny!

Lancaster bomber just flew over over our bungalow in the Lincolnshire Wolds!

Straight, level and low!
