I keep passing this place, and it seems open but always deserted. Its massive too.

Anyone know the story? Is it open? Being refurbed? Shut?

I'd heard it was up for development into flats, and that one of the local developers was on the verge of buying it.

Ah, possibly. I thought a few times it could be made in to nice flats as is, they'd make a killing! Flattening it would be a bit of a shame.
