Chaps

Anyone know a friendly tyre fitting place around Bedford / Milton Keynes / Hitchin / ect, that is happy to fit tyres sourced off the web.

Some places get a bit funny if you’re not buying the tyres through them.

Cheers

If you are in Milton Keynes head down to Tavistock street in Bletchley, Wouldnt buy a car from down there but the boys at Spicers have always been good with me, Normally pay £5 a wheel fitted and balanced.

Never tried it that way round, but I always buy from black circles and have them sent to and fitted by Top Marques in Hitchin, brilliant service and a great bunch of guys.

If you go to the mytyres website you can put in your postcode and it gives you a list of fitters in your area.

I use specialist tyres in Letchworth, I know the guys at http://lovetyres.com (based in hitchin) normally send local people that way too.

He's awesome, and can do 4 tyres in about 15 minutes!

How much per tyre to fit and balance and disposal of old tyres?
I've just got myself a set of winter tyres for the wifes BMW 1 series.

I have a tyre with a nail in it in Welwyn, any suggestions where to go to get it repaired?

They were £40 more expensive per tyre compared to camskill, ok you can't get them fitted but a fitter should be able to do 4 tyres for £20 cash.

Well I went to this little place in Flitton, RS Cars.
http://www.richard-shrive-cars.co.uk/WorkShop.htm

£15 each, a very nice chap, and I also got to nose around the eclectic mix of cars they have for sale or are in the process of restoring.

Can't argue with Abery, the owner is a PHer and a top bloke!

I just got a set from Camskill and I got Etyres to come and fit them, which they did today. Very good work, careful and friendly too. I'd recommend them. And no, I'm not related to them except as a customer.

£42 inc vat for 2 R18 tyres. Not cheap but I trust them and its not straightforward on the Noble. Think smaller sizes are cheaper.
