Possible New Car but what?

I might be able to get a new car soon ish.. but I need some advise as my original plans have changed and what I would have liked to get will no longer be suitable.

Budget:£5000max
What I would like:
Sporty
Good handling
Fun
Preferebly Jap

(skyline,stagea,monaro,m3,merc amg.....dreaming......)

What I need:
Sporty,Fun,Good hanldling
Saloon
Good mpg (45+)
Reliable
Diesel(purely because has to be sporty and with45+mpg)
Decent loading space

Car history:
Golf GTI
Nissan 350Z
Skoda Faia VRS (190bhp)

Thought I would give you some ideas...

Mondeo ST TDCi - Needs to be higher mileage for 5k though.
X Type 2.0d - Not particularly sporty to look at but chassis as above
MG ZT CDTi - BMW diesel engine, slightly dodgy quality.

Sorry haven't been around much..

I was looking at the Mondeo as my dad has been driving Mondeo for the last 15 years with no issues

Likethe idea of the tractor, insurance should be cheaper LOL
