Any other good photo locations not too many miles from Bedford apart from the graffiti wall at St. Neots? Would like to get a couple of the MX5 while the weather is decent (I know it's not the most exciting car to photograph).

Although my photography skills need some work as this is the best I have so far:

the place above might not be too bad - i usually drive around for a bit and find some place I could use.

This is in the industrial estate near the a421/a6 in Bedford:

Nothing that interesting about the lane but tried to make it look ok:

I always thought the old airship hangars at Cardington would make a good backdrop but theres no real way of getting close enough to them.

And I think, if im right, that mustang is owned by somebody just down the street from me, although I don't actually know them.

Mustang is owned by a PH'er.

Yes you'd need permission to shoot at Cardington Hangars on their property - they do have commercial rates for access.

Wrest Park in Silsoe is always good you can park on the grass over from the main drive way!

Just in to Great Brickhill there is an old petrol station which I have seen people use just the other side of Woburn.

I used to work there 20 years ago, so got a few shots of my (then) 205GTI outside and inside. It was an amazing place to be!

There's a spot here, a track up the side of some works building, which should allow some nice shots with the new wind turbines in the background. I'm hoping to take my car up there when it's out the workshop and back on the road.

There's also the back carpark at the American Cemetery at Madingley, I recall seeing some supercars being shot there a few years ago

The wind turbines could be a good idea and Cambourne looks like a nice location. Im not sure how comfortable I feel photographing my car in a cemetery car park though, just doesn't seem right.

The local hand car wash in Biggleswade is in an old building (think it may have been part of the old brewery; lots of corrugated roofing etc.) that's in a state of partial disrepair that may make an interesting photo place. Lots of puddles of water after they have been cleaning the cars so makes it a bit moody ... I'm sure they'd be happy to let you photo cars there for a small donation

I reckon you might get away with it, there are a couple of spots that look like they've got potential on Southill Road - it's not close, but I reckon the trick would be to park up on the verge then cross into the opposite farmers field, walk a decent distance away and zoom in on the car - telephoto shots should compress the scene, and make it seem like everything is closer than it is.

I'd give a bash myself the next time I'm round that way but my kit doesn't extend to a decent telephoto.

There is a red MX5 up the road from me, although I don't actually know them either wink

[waves] Hello smile

The BarnsHotel is quite a nice place for pictures, out past the Oasis Tesco. Kman did a shoot with us while I had the R8 up there:

Plus I did some with a mates rather special Harley:

and Priory park, just off the A421 is OK for a green backdrop, not a great photo to show it but the carpark is surrounded buy trees/bushes etc if you are after that:

Will give you a wavey next time!

Hopefully will get out and drive around to try and get a few pics this week. Assuming I get round to cleaning the car and the rain stays away.... Would like a nightime/dusk/sunset shot as well to show off those pop up lights!
