Can anyone recommend a decent bodyshop, ideally in North Herts, thatll paint some alloy wheels for me and be able to leave the car on their premises?

Ive spoken to Prestine in MK but theyve quoted silly amounts and im trying to get hold of Finish Line in Graveley for a quote but anyone else know of anyone?

Thanks

I've got a really good wheel guy who comes to my place with his mobile unit. Is that any good?

Is Hemel too far? Max Powder offer a facility of leaving the car behind.

These guy do a 5-7hrs turnaround according to their site, might be worth a call/visit.

(NB, have not used them, yet, don't know anyone that has either, 5-7 hrs turnaround sound interesting.)

Thanks people, will contact the people in the links provided.

Not sure the 7 hour turn around thing would be possible for me as just wanting to get th spokes painted and been informed that that involves alot of time consuming masking???

I don't know about leaving the car but they did a terrific job of my wheels (although they didn't do the red stripe. Refurbed in the colour of my choice for £60/corner.:

Bear in mind that BJV powder coat and so can't do plastic center caps to match, as I found out when I dropped my wheels off last week (didn't actually realise they only powdercoat, I was under the impression they could paint them too). They reckon they can't give me a paint code either, so when I've got the wheels back this week I'm going to have fun in Halfords looking for a match for the caps. Will report back on the result.

I've just had the 18" Turinis on my Megane 225 refurbed (had some very bad kerbing and scratches from a metal brush at some point in their life) and recoloured (to the Megane cup dark anthracite) by Letchworth Diamond Wheels (mentioned earlier in the thread) and I'm very, very impressed. All four were done in the day and I was able to leave the car with them which was a bonus.

They've had the full monty and were stripped, shot blasted, powder coated and lacquered all for £240. It would have been £200 if I'd wanted a 'standard' anthracite but I went for the darker one to match the new Renault center caps. The finish on them is stunning and I was suitably impressed by the whole outfit. They come highly recommended by me smile
