Chinook over Moss Side
Discussion
We had one fly over yesterday evening, and the night before, and the day before that, and last weekend and....... oh, thats right, we live near their base
. Considering most RAF flying is only done weekdays 9-5 here in the UK, the Chinook boys are constantly out and about 24/7 earning their keep

There is a lot of pressure at the mo to get/keep people current for ops, or to make best use of the airframes. Plus night flying (if that's what's required for the aforementioned currency) can only be done at err....night.

Someone on here saw a Chinook over Droylsden recently and a mate of mine saw what I assume was the same aircraft over Hyde.
For anyone unfamiliar with the names the only air traffic seen normally is commercial.
Yes it was a couple of weeks ago I assummed it may have been connected to various moorland fires in the Saddleworth area. For anyone unfamiliar with the names the only air traffic seen normally is commercial.
