I live opposite Regents Park so have seen all the presidential activity first hand over the last few days.

This morning walking to work the always impressive rolling convoy of police car/jag/blacked out Merc people carrier/Range Rover with guns on lap surrounded by the whistling motorcycle police.

They are highly skilled those bike riders for sure.

Also spotted two Chinooks around the same time. What would they be doing then?

Were going to war?

Seriously though. They can fly pretty much wherever they want.

If it's anything to do with the Obama brigade then the chances they will be US Navy Sea Knights I think. Smaller than a Chinook but look similar, having the twin rotors smile

It is interesting watching them but keep missing out on seeing the motorcade.

Are you on the road with the Maybach F16FXX?

Chinooks are always over London with a lot of regularity. When I worked in the City I'd often see them heading towards the military base near Old Street. Now I spend a lot of time at Canary Wharf I often see them doing laps of the towers then heading back in to town.
