live flight tracking
Discussion
Hi,
I know that http://www.flightradar24.com/ and http://www.radarvirtuel.com/ exist but they don't seem to track all the planes in the sky (i can hear far more outside than they show). While i don't expect VC10s to carry civilian trasnponders and show up are there any better websites around? Failing that is there any website which might tell me when something more interesting than an A320 turns up at East Mildlands Airport (such as the loud and smokey VC10 15 mins ago)?
Cheers.

Odd, just copy and paste them and they work (for me anyway), but yes blocked for me by clicking.
I've since found http://casperflights.com/unified/?location=egbb which has a different bunch of aircraft but still not all of them.

URLs didn't work because you got the tags wrong. I know that Here and There exist but they don't seem to track all the planes in the sky (i can hear far more outside than they show). Someone heading to Ireland?

Interesting, it's staggering, at least for an uneducated sort like myself, the sheer amount of air traffic over Europe!
These sites only show up the aircraft with ADS-B transmitters - which means that you will only be seeing around 50% of the traffic, if that.Steve

Probably trans Atlantic. He's at 35,000 feet so unless he divebombs Shanon he's not going to get rid of that height.
My tin foil hat suggests that someone is going to talk to the US about a certain Mr Mladic...edit: I fear I may have got a few countries mixed up there. Croatia and Czech Repulic. Not the same...

Especially down here in the south east of Bulgaria where Sofia control hands over to Turkish airspace. There are often 20 or more airliners/vapour trails visible at the same time, many of them very large military jets.Countdown said:
picked up my wife's plane somewhere over Derby and tracked it all the way to landing.
Im very very sad and spent last weekend tracking my brother and his family , taking off from Murcia in spain, then chasing a BA aircraft up through France, then into Stansted.
God I need a life, lol.
I use flightradar24 quite abit, It's a shame that Concord isn't flying anymore ,I remember seeing and hearing the big delta bird flying high roar over Bristol when i was a young'un (now 40 ),we all use to look up on it's the way to the states, would of been nice to track the speed and height compared to others in the sky now..what a bird ..still only 2 miles from the one Concord still parked up at Filton ,all be it covered in scaffold though now
