4 up behind the Camargue. Only had 4 ropes with us, we will return with more. 
A quick headcalc tells me 200hp for the boat and circa 25hp per skier makes 36 skiers possible if we can get the ropes sorted / enough skiers / no fatties.
Next experiment will be whether we can adapt the wake for wake surfing.
Looks doable to me as we were tabs down for this run.

You wont be the first to try this, I seem to remember Sunseeker did some promotion work with Animal a few years ago and used a 74 Mantattan with a couple of nutters wakeboarding off the back. Was a sight to behold

Simpo, I can see we've got you thinking.
A couple of tips.
The skier needs to keep their weight well forward if using a Watermota and nitrous.
If you study these pictures in detail you will notice that the skiers are carrying far to much of an angle of attack and this will generate an unnecessary degree of stopping force with your Freeman regardless of the nitrous addition which will only add power once you get the engine running in excess of 12,000 rpm.
I would also reconsider your thought process of tying the ski lines to a flimsy, albeit well kempt and nicely varnished, flagpole.
