Sounds like an interesting man, although it always casts a small element of doubt in my mind when such people go on to write fiction.

Read this last year when it came out, really enjoyed it, not surprised Hollywood are picking up on it.

To the last poster, I was under the impression the whole thing was non-fiction, it certainly reads like a memoir of his time at sea rather than a story.
