Serious Comments Please - UFO
Discussion
A couple of weeks ago a Radio 5 presenter phoned in to say that on his way into work at 4.30 am he'd witnessed a UFO craft. The reporter was very clear about what he saw and was very hesitant to say that it was a UFO in the hyped genre mode, just that he certainly couldn't identify it.
I caught the report twixt channels but it also caught my ear because it was reported as being very close to Stanstead airport at a place called Buntingford and not a million miles from where I live.
I can't for the life of me believe that Stanstead airport or any of our other military establishments failed to pic this up but I haven't heard anything since.
I know there are a lot of knowledgable chaps on here so I figured I'd ask - was it a wind up? any update?
Whilst "Googling" for an update I also came across this video and once again I figured one of you clever aviation chappies (or maybe even chappesses
) would comment for me.

Many thanks.

Carsie I heard the same programme. From memory the regular presenter (Nicky Campbell?) was doing a bit about declassified MOD files and a reporter said he'd seen something he couldn't identify (I think it was a sports reporter, not that it's relevant).
All he said was he'd seen something he couldn't identify that he didn't think was a conventional aircraft (ie nothing particularly unusual).

Thanks Matt (nice to hear from you again! - you ok?)
I figured the chase footage was a missile being tracked, I just didn't know what it was so thanks Dr Gn and Davepoth.
No probs. BTW it's not really a missile, it's a "UCAV" (unmanned combat air vehicle) :I figured the chase footage was a missile being tracked, I just didn't know what it was so thanks Dr Gn and Davepoth.

Unfortunately UFOs in the form of alien spacecraft piloted by aliens don't exist no matter how much some people want them to, and no matter how many times someone says "5% of sightings are unaccounted for".

Seems Ladbrokes don't seem to take that view.
