Transport and superstitions

Seeing the thread about superstition over renaming boats and painting them green reminded me about Brittany Ferries refusing to carry rabbits

Apparently they're considered bad luck on French ships, and even the name should not be mentioned!
What other superstitions have you heard of which are a bit odd?

rats will chew anything, steel included.
but the superstition, which is kinda why this thread on superstitions exists, originated from rabbits and rats
We used to burn alleged witches, as well. I feel that fluffy bunnies, pursued by flocks of steel-eating rodents it a little, err, historical. It needs updating. Chavs attracting metal nicking nomadic folk is more plausible in the 21st century but the superstition, which is kinda why this thread on superstitions exists, originated from rabbits and rats
