Name rings a bell from tomes read in the past. Not going to google, was he to do with tactics for WWII but a pilot from WWI?

Seen to remember a drawing of him in a bi plane with a wine glass as a sign off on letters written to friends.

Second highest scoring German Fighter pilot of WWI.

During WWII he was Director-General of Equipment for the Luftwaffe and instrumental in the Luftwaffe's love affair with the Dive-Bomber.
