Boscombe Down Incident.

Been reading about this over the years, and have seem many theories at to what caused it.

This one comes up quite alot on different forums. I've never known what to think of it really because its easy to turn a normal aircaft accident into something more when its at an airbase at night.

I noticed Machrihanish was mentioned in that report. That airfield always sounded like it had an interesting past, but again, it can be easy to cook up fiction. Mind you, I think they did say the stealth bomber used to visit there which might explain alot of sightings reported up that way.

I would imagine the 'secret planes' tin hatters talk about are probably the likes of the drones we have been using for a fair few years now. A bit weird looking, and can look odd depending on the angle.

I think if you keep linking to to ancient stories - the presumption being that an 'incident' is fresh news - then you'll keep having people yawning at you.

I think if you keep linking to to ancient stories - the presumption being that an 'incident' is fresh news - then you'll keep having people yawning at you.

The incident was a number of years ago now, and I have not seen it discussed on here before, that was all.

I am not one for conspiracies and I am bored to the back teeth with ones linked to the "Aurora" project.

I'd far prefer to discuss the very REAL and dramatic events that have taken place at Boscombe Down over the years rather than silly made up stories.

Did I mention conspiracy theories? No.
Did something ACTUALLY happen on 26th September 1994? Well, there are a large number of pages on the internet that seem to suggest it did. Now, I have not read every single one out there, and was just asking for opinion on whether anything (if at all) happened. That is all.

This did come up before as someone else said. I did a quick search of PPRUNE and there's a 4/5 page thread on there with a post from somebody who worked there at the time.

He does a good job of dispelling the speculation. It shouldn't be too hard to find

I could see where the thread was heading - especially with the linked article.

Boscombe Down is a very interesting place with some really dramatic GERNUINE incidents occuring there over the years. Why can't we discuss these?
