Well it's definitely a buyer's market for R22s at the moment.

Assuming it will be UK based, you may as well buy in the UK - exchange rates don't justify buying in the EU or US at the moment.

Best advice would be to post an enquiry with your criteria here http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads-23/ - you'll get some helpful guidance and recommendations.

Personally, not a fan of the R22s - much prefer the Hughes/Schweizer 300Cs as a light utility/trainer - they're in a whole different class to the R22s.

My friend is selling his R44 and a brand new R66 which hasn't even been delivered yet. He is in Europe so could be a good time to buy with rates at 1.20-1.21 EUR/£. If this is of interest let me know and I can get more info.
