No... After flying for years every couple of weeks to far flung places, the last thing I want is some extrovert steward/ess giving it their best jibber jabber to keep me awake, or make more annoying noises on a plane as there is normally.

Hell, I don't even want them to do an announcement. I k ow where I am going, I'm in my seat, and I want to go to sleep. Shut the fk up!

And personally I hate flying on US airlines, as they usually specialise in grumpy, grouchy old women for cabin crew, over 55, menopausal and ignorant!

Asian airlines seem to have by far the most respectful and accommodating air hostesses. And they don't tear you a new one if you call them a hostess either!
