Any ideas what aircraft this is?

Probably nothing particularly special but I saw this whilst out for a walk today and something about it just seemed unusual, I can't put my finger on what though.



It may have just been the sun but I couldn't see much in the way of markings on it, and it was flying at a completely different height to all the other civilian traffic I saw going overhead.

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Looks like an Airbus A-340 to me.

Definitely an Airbus A340. Probably a Lufthansa one judging by the white fuselage with grey underside. It's high enough to be making contrails so I doubt there's anything too unusual about the altitude.

Looking at the engines it's a 340-500 or 340-600. I can't quite tell from the length but would guess at a 6 if I had to.

I was monitoring Flight Radar 24 this afternoon and at least 4 Lufthansa A340s went over the south of England heading East to West.
