Some aircraft quesions... Eric?
Discussion
Just a couple of curiosities really.
I was flying out of O R Tambo (Jo'burg) a week or so ago and I saw a South African registered Boeing 737 in full British Airways colours. This aircraft came into land, taxied around for a bit and then took off again. An hour or so later it came back and did the same thing. Does anybody have idea who this plane actually belongs to and what it's doing down there?
Also, I was in Aberdeen for a meeting yesterday and when I landed in the morning and left in the evening I saw Dornier 228 flying around and doing what looked like touch and goes. It also had what looked like a belly radar fitted. Does anybody know much about this aircraft?
Just to add, I can't Google myself as for some reason it is blocked in the office!
As usual, thanks in advance.

My guess is that because OR Tambo is a "Hot and High" airport, it was a pilot practicing landings since they need to be done a bit differently. Either that or the plane was on test.
As for the 228, It's doing survey flights according to PPRune.

The 737 is probably Comair, they are owned by BA.

I love PH, I knew you chaps would be able to answer my questions!
Cheers for the replies.
I don't think I have ever seen a Do 228 in the flesh, they are an odd looking bird.
I really enjoyed Aberdeen airport, it was great watching the choppers lifting off the ground, slowly floating along the taxi way and then turning above the runway, hovering for a little bit and then going skywards.
