"Incident" records?

Morning all,
Is there anywhere public that air "incidents" are recorded, even if minor?
Reason for asking - I flew into LHR last night, BA0861, A320 from PRG. Weather was a bit lively but it didn't seem excessively bumpy on the way in. However, the plane touched down quite hard, heck of a thump, and bounced back up. I was thinking, "hmm, made a mess of that, need to get that back down pronto", and about 2 seconds later, full power and we're going around.
Captain was on the PA immediately, reassuring the passengers that it was simply a precaution due to the weather. However, once we landed and were on the stand, he came back on and said "Some of you may have noticed an incident at the rear of the aircraft. Please be assured that the crew have your safety in mind at all times and dealt with this appropriately". That was it - cue bemused looks amongst my fellow passengers! I was in row 10, front edge of the wing, so I didn't see anything.
I'm not particularly perturbed by this; I fly (as a passenger) regularly, probably 2-3 times a month and have been doing so for years (and incidentally that was my first-ever go-around!) but I'm just curious. Could it have just been the weather? Plenty of other planes were landing OK after us. The captain did say in PRG that the 1st Officer would be flying us back - did he go for a hand landing and cock it up?

Tail may have hit the deck I guess, or thought the tail hit the deck - when the Captain said "dealt with this appropriately" he probably meant "gave the 1st officer a clip round the ear".Is there anywhere public that air "incidents" are recorded, even if minor?

@dave - yes, that's what I wondered. No obvious damage when I disembarked, although we were offf at the front so I was at a distance. Do they have a strike plate or somethng at the back?
Also I do recall a member of cabin crew hurrying to the back, but not until a minute or so after we started going around, ie not immediately.
Re the AAIB page, would something like this be reported, or would it not be considered serious enough?

Probably better off posting on http://www.pprune.org/.. A lot of pilots / ground etc on there, you might even find your pilot on there!!
