Loads of military helicopters over Croydon

Guys does anyone know why over the last couple of days I have been seeing large numbers of military helicopters flying over Croydon, a couple of mins ago three Apaches flew over in close formation, where are they coming from and where are they going?

Oh and no comments about Croydon being a war zone please, some parts are very genteel, like where I live

anyone 25 miles or so South west of Windsor in the formation area is going to be in for a treat! (and a rather noisy morning!)
