Slightly o/t but the RN choppers regularly fly under the Erskine Bridge (Glasgow) if the cloud base is low - usually on their way to/from the main hospitals.
It is a lot taller than Tower Bridge though! Apparanetly they have about 100 feet all round 'spare' when they go through - must still take a bit of bottle at night....

Earlier in the afternoon the smaller helicopter did a couple of lower and apparently faster runs down the Thames before pulling up to pass (just) over the top of the bridge. So presumably the helicopters eye view from that will be shown just before the pass through the bridge.According to the Express website it was for the Olympics.
