Hi,

the centre deck of my Dart 18 has come away from the hull along part of the outside of the centre section, just aft of the forward beam. This came to light when I was replacing the forward toe loop. The rivets didn't go in properly, I'm not sure what they go into under the deck, wood? When I lift the hull by the toe loop the deck lifts a few mm off the hull, for maybe 20 cm. My plan is to use the loop to lift the deck and then squeeze something sticky into the crack and then strap the hull with a roof rack strap to hold it down tight. Once that has set I will drill out the failed rivets and replace. Will it work? what sticky material should I use? Any other ideas? Thanks

The yacht builders will be along in a minute, but I would think epoxy resin would be a good bet? And like you say, strap it down until cured, and re-fix with rivets once it's solid.
