Lancaster just flew VERY low overhead

I'm visiting the folks in Loughborough, out in the garden the Lancaster just flew very low directly over my house. Wow! What's it doing up here?
They sometimes do a low fly-by by special request if it can be done as part of a normal journey from base to an airshow. It did a low couple of passes over me a couple if years back as a request was made at the local golf club where an old RAF serviceman was celebrating his birthday. Thankyou for the information and what an incredible sound. Looking on Twitter quite a few people in the area saw it (all our neighbours came out!) at about 350-500 ft. Edited by FourWheelDrift on Sunday 17th June 13:46
It was good to see everyone knew what it was and the historical significance associated with it.
Initially as an airmen, but later as a civilian instructor, same job, no agro. 
Headed down to Wellesborne airfield today - Wings and Wheels event day. They have a Vulcan and do full speed taxi (front wheel off the ground) which was great to see, shame it is not allowed to take off. Also a shame is that X558 is currently grounded due to engine failures. Two pics below.... first is from today @ Wellesborne. The second is a photo my Dad took whilst he was flying Vulcans which shows the Lancaster - just thought it might be of interest to some

I was at Wellesbourne today also. Fantastic, it looks as if could take off no sweat. As you say, shame it can't! mrloudly said:

That was an 'accidental' take off of Teasing Tina'. It shouldnt have happened, it was great to watch, it could however have been catastrophic had it gone tits up it will not happen again.The Wellesbourne Vulcan has been standing outside for years & whilst it appears to be in a reasonable condition it would never get an airworthyness certificate.
I would guess that it would be cheaper to build a Vulcan from scratch!!
The good thing though is that it remains in running order so at least she gets to be 'fast taxied' every now & again.
