Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Would like to get there on Saturday morning and camp Saturday night.

Anyone have any information regarding nearby campsites please?

Usually I believe some of the farmers open their fields to campers, but your probably too late.

But I can tell you that the Italian Aerobatics have just flown over my house(I believe it must have been them) into Waddo.

I live about 1.5 miles away as the crow flies so always just watch from the garden.

Traffic is always very busy, but reasonably well organised.

Not sure about camping though, sorry.

Yep, I'm afraid so, no idea how you go about booking them, but I used to pass them all on my way to school.

I drove last year and it was very well organised. There was no problem parking and the traffic flowed very well in and out.

I go each year, traffic is usually heavy but moves relatively well, there are big car parks and courtesy buses (old vintage ones) which run you to the flightline.

Booked two miles outside Waddington.

We're camping and will cycle in on both days.

The Koreans or Italians were out practising this morning. Would their aircraft cause a massive roar still very loud a couple of miles away on take-off? Or would that be another much larger single aircraft?

Just been planning the route to Waddington for the show, and whilst GoogleMapping the area I discovered to my surprise and delight that a Vulcan, XM607 apparently, is very clearly visible in the satellite view of the airfield - great shot, in fact - and also on the Street View - also a great shot. coollick

Look at the north-eastern part of Waddington Airfield, where the A15 runs past: you can't miss it.

(Also posted this message on the XH558 thread)

Could that be XM607, IIRC Waddington had a static display Vulcan for some time, one of the Falklands Vulcans, although I may be wrong.

It's been there for many years. The ambicopter shed is next to it.

It is indeed XM607. The very aircraft which bombed the runway down south all those years ago.

I'll be there tomorrow, was really looking forward to seeing 558 as I've still not seen her fly. Sadly, again, it's not to be.

Still, should be a top day non the less.

I went today, great day, perfect weather, two drops of rain all day, mostly scattered cloud and sun.

Some brilliant displays, the Red Arrows of course, a Typhoon demo which was done nearly all on afterburner, an F18 who had to throttle back to avoid going supersonic on the flightline, a cool Dutch F16 demo and superb routines by the Koreans, Italians, Poles and Saudis.

I went today as well, absoloutly epic day. Waddington never ceases to amaze me, and wow the Tornado, Red Arrows, the F16... I could go on, all incredible. Even got into the enclosure next to the pilots for free, so front row seats and free drink biggrin Now got 2000 pictures to edit.
