OK - the bug has bitten.

We learned a lot building our first so we are going to do another Biplane.

Target:

Ready to fly in 2014.
Minimum 300 BHP.
Maximum weight 650 KGS.
Roll rate at least 360 degrees a second.

Any guesses?

Super Stinker?

Nearly went down that route a few years ago - in the end we kept MAXG, but the Super Stinker (when you bolt the engine on at the right angle) is certainly a thing of joy to behold. Still want a go in one.

Tiger Moth with a new engine? ;-)

Is that Super Stinker just a copy of a Pitts Special? Looks awesome fun although I can guarantee I would be sick if I ever got in it. I do quite a bit of aeros in the Grob Tutor and even that blooming tank makes me feel queasy!

The Super Stinker *is* a Pitts - the original was dubbed the 'Little Stinker'.

The only answer to nausea when flying aeros is to fly more aeros, and have a big fat-boy breakfast beforehand - after a while, you'll wonder what you were worried about.

Does the Grob actually do aeros?

Given that it has has the rolling ability of a wet paper bag! wink

Ahhhh makes sense now thanks!

The Grob does aeros but badly, really slow roll rate as you're well aware. Doesn't help that I'm absolutely ***** at them anyway!

Back OTish...I saw an article on a homebuild P51, looked authentic, that would seriously tempt me......
