Boeing 747 'D' Check on TV
Discussion
Just to let you know, there is a programme on this Sunday (15th July) at 20:00 on BBC HD and BBC2 that was filmed in my works showing what we do on a Boeing 747 'D' check.
I don't know what its going to be like, probably more fiction than fact, but I was thinking it might be of interest to you on here if you want to see what we go through to keep these old girls in the air.
I'm interested to see what it's like, I just hope that I kept well out of the filming!

Looking forward to this.
I assume it's at BAMC, which is a building that I had a little to do with a few years ago for work, and is fascinating in itself.
It is indeed BAMC, I've been there for the last 17 years!I assume it's at BAMC, which is a building that I had a little to do with a few years ago for work, and is fascinating in itself.
What were you up to with the place??? If you visited you probably went passed me, I'm always hidden in the planning office

Holy kak. How patronising was that? Massive respect to the crews that do the work on what it a very complex airframe, but the two simpering morons who hosted the show, is that how far the BBC has sunk?
In the scheme of things an electrical safety test on a kettle and how a toilet works, with less than five minutes on the basic principles of powered flight (which are apparently is up for discussion!) left me feeling somewhat disappointed.
