Get yourself a seat on the beach to the west of the pier on the seafront. Probably park at Branksome Chine ( sandy beach to the west of Bournemouth) and walk back towards the pier along the promenade. Parking is quite expensive ( about £20 for the day ) but a great meal can be had at the restaurants/pubs/cafes along the way, and it avoids getting caught in all the traffic in the centre.
We had a great day there last year, sadly marred by the death of one of the Red Arrows pilots on the saturday.
An incredible show over the sea, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight was fabulous as were the aerobatic teams and the commentary was informative and clear at this point on the beach.

I believe the Red Arrows are flying again, they now have their first female pilot as well.
Sadly the lady in question left the team at the end of last year following the loss of the second piloin the ground based accident at the end of the season..

The Reds will be performing at Bournemouth but they will only be performing with seven aircraft due to the lack of time available to train two new pilots.
Next year they will be back up to their usual nine aircraft.
For fly pasts this year they fly with nine, with the nose lights on numbers 2 & 8 switched off as a mark of respect to the two lost pilots whilst they display with seven.
I have seen them twice this year so far - at RIAT when they displayed with seven & recently when they flew very low over Gloucester with nine aircraft, with 2 & 8's nose lights switched off.
Very poignant to see them fly with two nose lights switched off - a very simple but effective tribute.

Saw the Red Arrows depart after the Sunday display finished at Farnborough this year. Obviously they displayed with 7 aircraft, but was very surprised when they took off to count a full compliment of 10 Hawks. Presumably this was due to their other flypast/display commitments over the weekend. In normal years they bring 9 plus the spare, intrigued to see them bring 3 spares this year. In response to the OP question, a little online research in the Boscombe/Southbourne area via Googlemaps/Streetview may reveal some streets just inland from the Overcliff that do not have parking restrictions. Just be prepared for a short walk, and remember to park with respect for driveways and resident's access. Viewing the display from the Overcliff allows a very different view of the displaying aircraft, as they are often either directly to your front, or you even find yourself looking down at them. Great for the bigger stuff, as they often line up a long approach, rubbish for smaller stuff, especially the helicopters, as they display in a much smaller 'box' between the piers.
Another option if you are there for more than 1 of the days is to go to Hurn, and see what is 'resident' at the airport for the weekend. Often the Arrows and '558 are hosted over at the FR hangers on the NE side near Matchams Lane. Current imagery on Gmaps shows 6, possibly 7 Vampires outside a hanger at the Northern end of the now unused Runway 33. Expect there to be access restrictions and a charge for parking at BIA (Hurn).

If you are walking into Bournemouth for a meal the Weatherspoon pub Moon In The Square is good value for money. Near the balloon flight in the park thingy, on the opposite side of the square to Debenhams. Black & white timbered building if I remember correctly. Or if you parked at Branksome Chime there is a whole lot of good places along the promenade, on your walk back to the car.
I was in Bournemouth yesterday and ended up parking on the top level of the BIC, looked like a fabulous place to watch from if possible and your not bothered about being in a car park, other than that try and scale the HUGE deck chair that was erected next to the pier.
I get a decent view from my house of stuff coming in and out, tend to get most of the Red Arrows display with the real low passes dropping below the Horizon/cliffs, I live near the top of a hill in Wimborne and have a decent view over to the Bournemouth and Poole stretch of coast.
