There is/was on based here in the UK at Bournemouth quite recently. I seen it at Prestwick a couple of years ago, it looked great compared to your Iran Air example!

VP-BAT is a bit of a weird one. Its owned by Worldwide Aircraft Holdings who are in turn owned by the Qatar government.
However it is based in the UK at Bournemouth? You would think it would be based in Qatar.
The Qatar royal family and government also use the Qatar Amiri Flight which are all fairly new and modern aircraft tha fly in the Qatar Airlines colours.

Just a bit of additional information, the Qatar Royals ARE (represented by) the government here...what I'm trying to say is any asset of the Qatar Government is an asset of the Qatar Ruling Family.However it is based in the UK at Bournemouth? You would think it would be based in Qatar.

The logo on the tail, and indeed the paintjob is Amiri Flights colours, Amiri Flights are not the same finish as Qatar Airways planes.
OFF TOPIC: I had the good fortune to offload at Doha next to VP-BAT and took a picture of it. I later met an Amiri Flights girl who practically started a fight with me because I asked her if she'd been on the 747 and she said that they only have Airbus's I insisted I'd seen one...apparently there was NO WAY I knew what I was talking about apparently because she knew everything about Amiri Flights and there was no 747 in existance that was in Amiri Flights colours...then I got the phone out and she took one look at the picture, called me a dick, and turned around ...hahahaha!
