My house is on the flight path and working from home this week, my new Orangery which I am using as an office is giving me a great view of a wide variety of aircraft coming in to land today. All I have to do is look up when I hear a noise smile
So far, Apache, Chinook, Griffin (these are just on their normal SPTA jaunts), a Hawk, Tornado, what looked like a BAE146 but I am not sure they have these any more, something that looked like a Chipmunk and a C12 Huron (again, I think). Had the new Airbus tanker over the other day which was also pretty cool.

I had what looked like a twin engined airliner fly over my head with gear and flaps out while driving along the A30 west of Wilton the other day. Couldn't quite work out what was going on until I looked at the map, closer to Boscombe Down than I realised, and my father explained that it could've been one of these tankers.

QinetiQ have just taken delivery of a couple of refurbished 146s - to replace their old BAC 1-11s.

That will be it then, busy day today. I really should get a decent camera, excellent vantage point from Trig point 204
or from my back garden smile
