Air activity over York
Discussion
I was out on the Humber Estuary on the 5th Nov and what appeared to be F15s were carrying out bombing runs near one of the old forts off Grimsby. Is that a normal practice range?
In low then climb and bank to left before swooping down and then climbing away to continue a circuit. Was at least three of them.

Most likely operating on Donna Nook range. In low then climb and bank to left before swooping down and then climbing away to continue a circuit. Was at least three of them.

And up over the north east, a few jets making a lot of noise during the afternoon and just had a large jet fly very low over the house making a lot of noise and a lot lower than we normally see.
There was a 767 into Durham Tees Valley just before 8pm last night. It left just over an hour later. The F15s mentioned have been accompanied by a pair of KC135 Tankers.http://www.dtvmovements.co.uk/2012Months/201211Nov...

Thanks ,you can always count on PH to answer your questions . Wish I had know about that site last month, at about 11 a clock at night 2 jets came over the house and made so much noise people came out into the street, definitely military and really going for it.
It's a handy site if you spot something interesting and need an ID
The 767 (i think....commercials aren't my thing) was back this afternoon and really struggling in the wind. Engines were howling rather nicely, although i'm not sure i'd say that if i was on board
