Was there something special about the event? There normally wouldn't be a large gathering of enthusiasts just to watch a Transall land.

I know the Luftwaffe are retiring their C-160s soon if not already.

From reading the article it says that it was the last flight of the aircraft which was due to go on display at a museum...
