The report for the sinking of Yogi is out.
I'm still working my way through it.

I think many people are thinking it was an insurance job.
I find it hard to believe there are people out there who would do this deliberately.

I've only worked a couple of years and I think I've met a couple of them...

Seriously though, I've worked on unregulated private yachts and some phenomenally well managed yachts (how many crew train for bomb on board situations?) - It could be anything from incompetence to sabotage, short of the report concluding the Kraken had risen from the depths and devoured her not much would surprise me...

Everybody on that forum seems to be an expert!
I'm not one for slagging other engineers off, I'm sure they tried their best.

You don't have to be a great engineer to consider testing bilge alarms, communications and water tight doors however.

That along with the fact i am sure it was ISM compliant so surely these faults where noted, they cant all have happened on that day, bloody bad luck if they did.

From the report it seems to be a chronically bad bit of shipbuilding and naval architecture. Nobody comes out looking good here.

The Navy almost lost the Endurance due to things not being properly tested and/or procedures not being right...
