Took the plunge and now I am totally hooked!

Had a initial trial lesson, then one more lesson. Yesterday unfortunately the weather was a bit poo so we focused on the checks, my first radio transmission (woo) and taxiing practise.

I have the set of Pratt books, snf just downloaded CAP413 supp.3 for a bit of light reading :s

Any other tips!?

Congrats, wave bye bye to your bank balance but say hello to a lot of fun biggrin

Best tip I found was using Microsoft Flight Sim, very useful for flying circuits and even has rt in it aswell. If you go down the instrument rating path then RANT is really useful too.

Enjoying it is perhaps the most important thing and don't get wound up at your rate of progress or lack of smile

I started learning to fly about 20 years ago but gave up due to lack of funds. Had fun whilst I did it especially when the weather was poor smile

The bank balance is a thing of history after 3 seasons of racing frown. Had to stop for a bit due to bad back, but it seems more compatible with flying (other than being a bit stiff climbing up to check fuel levels!)

Soooo excited!
