Hawk or Gnat? (or if he's not that old, what would he like to see eventually replace the Hawk?)
Most shows per day?
Number of shows per year?
Do they always fly in-formation like we see over the UK? What about transit flights to other countries?
Most respected foreign display team?
How many hours practice pre-season?
Do the Red Arrows Hawks have a normal RAF life before/after being in the team?

How do they make the smoke?
White smoke is Diesel, red and blue are diesel with dye in5 minutes of white smoke, 1 minute each of red / blue
On a marginally more serious note you could ask him, candidly and honestly, what his view is on how and why the MoD can (be seen) to afford a PR squadron having just binned SAR, scrapped Nimrod, cancelled Sentinel etc. etc. AND with the end of Hawk in sight too.
I know it's been done to death before and there are pretty standard answers, but would be good to get his take, given things are moving rapidly in the world of UK military aviation.
Is he still serving and thus obliged to take the party line fed by a career-protecting future director of BAE in Whitehall or can he decide for himself now?

I did go to a talk given by a current Red Arrows pilot, and wanted to ask his opinion on Kirsty Stewarts decision not to fly with them, as I was genuinely interested, but bottled it as I thought I'd probably just get the party line anyway.
Her decision was the right one for her and I'm sure everyone's opinion of it in the team and the wider comunity would have been fully supportive of it, flight safety is the number 1 thing in aviation. Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
