Duxford airshow silver passes
Discussion
My Brothers and I did the same for our Dad on his birthday. We got the silver too and it was nice to have the use of an area to sit down, out of the wind and noise for a while.
There is then an uncrowned area to sit in and watch the display. There are big crowds there and for my Dad that would be a little distressing. We wandered around the displays and stands and then were back in the marquee for a sit down. For us, worth every penny. Part of that was the look on Dads face as we were able to go into areas that the public couldn't. For many of us we do that sort of thing from time to time, but if you are 80, you generally haven't. I think the ticket that gives you a sit down meal would have been too much though for him.
If you are coming from that far away, a little comfort can be priceless. Have a great day and the Duxford people are a dream to deal with.
