I was driving round the M25 on Friday afternoon and there on the back of a trailer was a Hurricane. I'm not sure if it was real bit it certainly looked old and it had the word "Burma" written just under the canopy. Did anyone else see it and does anyone know anything about it?

Possibly a static replica. There are quite a few around.

"Burma" was written on the side of Bob Stanford-Tuck's Hurricane so it seems like it was painted in his scheme.

A quick google found this...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/dc-7c/8117281385/ and this http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=replica+hawker+hu...

There are a few replica Spitfires and Hurricanes doing the rounds. They are sometimes used commercially as photographic props at airshows, and I've seen them attend WWII re-enactment shows, etc, where the real thing couldn't possibly land.

I didn't get a photo, as it was on a pretty crowded plot, but there was a P-51D Mustang replica on a trade stand at the Goodwood FoS this year. Someone else took this photo (at the Goodwood Revival, it seems) https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=replica+mustang+...
