Has anybody else seen this?

It's a flight from Detroit that's being kept clear of any other flight paths, speculation is rife about why...

So out of interest, if it was due to go to Paris, I assume it would have been ok to land with the amount of fuel that it had. So if it's making an emergency landing, does it have to have less fuel on board?
Or, of course, they have disarmed the terrorists now and Amsterdam is the only place with enough of a SWAT team to get them in safely [/tinhat]

Small problem with the flaps. Now on the ground in Amsterdam. 3 seconds with Google all that was needed to find this out, but lets not let that get in the way of hysterical terrorism speculation eh?
Yes, yes, but the flaps were part of a huge plot from the a rogue terrorist cell that wanted to take control of all the flaps on all planes to remote pilot them into major landmarks around the world.Sometimes you have read between the lines, between the lines to find the real detail!
Seriously though, things like Flightradar do allow a lot of info out to the public when they don't really know what they are talking about. Twitter is more of a curse than a blessing at times. I've tried to explain things to people on there and other forums about the industry I work in and jobs I've been directly in control of, but they still refuse to believe it if it's not sensational enough for them.

I would have suggested that perhaps talking control of the primary flight control surfaces (elevators, ailerons, rudder etc) would perhaps have been a better idea in that^^^ case...... ;-) /pedantry matters
