what did i just hear?

Just heard something fly over (near Luton airport) which sounded much deeper than any prop aircraft I've heard, any one else hear it? It sounded like a RAT (ram air turbine) running but that's pretty unlikely and I doubt I'd hear it on the ground, although they are pretty loud when we test them in the hanger!

A friend who lives near Letchworth said she heard something very weird too. Like a loud aircraft with a low pitch droning sound.

I think it was probably space aliens.

Didn't sound like either of those, sounded like a single prop, that osprey is impressive, not seen one of those flying around before.
