4 days in London. Best option for using the underground.

I'll be visiting the Snooker Masters in Alexandra Palace next week.
Tuesday I'll be arriving from Brussels at St. Pancras, and have my hotel at Whetstone.
From Whetstone I'll have to travel to Alexandra Palace (Wood Green Station), which I guess takes me via St. Pancras again.

I'll be at Alexandra Palace tuesday, wednesday and thursday, and will leave for Belgium again on friday morning.
Is there some daypass I can purchase for the underground, with unlimited use of the underground on that day, or a pass for a week/multiple days? Or even a 10 way ticket?

If you look on the lul website there is a full list of fares.
There is a 7 day card for £45 which is zones 1-4. You need to look at the map on there to see which zones you will be using.
You can get an oyster card at any station with a ticket office and put money on it.

It sounds like ten journeys on a pre-pay Oyster Card to me. Do check mind:

and consider a cab too - it doesn't look far above ground, just not particularly convenient for the tube.

Was just going to mention that using the underground will be a pain as you'll need to come into London and then go out again. Also Wood Green station isn't THAT close and it's a fair walk up a very steep hill to get to the Palace.
Your best bet would be getting a couple of buses or alternatively not sure where in Whetstone you are but if you are anywhere near New Barnet overground station or can get to it easily, you can get an overground train straight to Alexandra Palace station which is only a few stops away on that line and you can use an Oyster card on it too. 1 day Oyster or top up Oyster is probably your best bet either way.

Spent a long weekend in London last august and we decided to use the Oyster card. Bought a PAYG one from the tourist office at Victoria station and when we had finished, we went back to the same office and got our unused money back straight away. You just have to remember to always swipe the card before and after every journey so it can charge the right amount.

Thx Guvernator!I'm closer to Oakleigh Park station, so I'll take the train there. It's only a 6 minute ride from there to Alexandra Palace station, so this is by far the easiest option.

It'll cost you £3 return on Oyster PAYG from Oakleigh Park to Ally Pally. So £20 on a card should be enough. I'm closer to Oakleigh Park station, so I'll take the train there. It's only a 6 minute ride from there to Alexandra Palace station, so this is by far the easiest option.

As stated before it's a relatively longish walk from Wood Green (nearest tube station) but half that distance from Alexandra Palace overground, however even though the overground station is literally right next door to it, it is at the bottom of a very steep hill. "Aly Paly" is probably the highest spot in North London, in fact it might be the highest in London so the walk up while not far can be a little taxing for those of a not so fit dissuasion. 
Still the view at the top is probably one of the best natural views you'll see in London (i.e. not from a skyscraper), you can literally see all the way to the large City buildings like Canary Wharf on a good day.

You can see the QE2 bridge easily enough. Yeah I agree it's more than doable and a quite a pleasant walk but I HAVE seen some people struggle due to disability or just being fat so didn't want to assume. Guvernator said:
