Driving in to Liverpool I got stuck behind an abnormal load that appeared to be a pair of wings. The low loader had a Belfast number on it so I'm assuming they were from Shorts or Bombardier? I've seen them on Seaforth docks before and they look to me like the tail section of something fairly large. Can anyone fill in the blanks? Ta.

According to their site Bombardier do make wing components in Belfast, and there's a video of Cameron opening a new wing factory.

I would have called it a new wing wing.

Did it look like a tailplane wrapped in a blue and yellow tarpaulin?

I would say it was a tailplane as I've seen them before, parked up on Seaforth docks. Can't remember any blue & yellow tarp though.
