Cessna Collision During Skydive

I'm not sure if this is a repost as it did happen a couple of months ago, but I couldn't see anything on here at the time it first came out.

A pair of Cessna's carrying skydivers collide in the US, leading to one of the aircraft being trashed and spilling the skydivers all over the place:

Looks dramatic, but nobody was hurt in the incident. The pilot of the burnt up Cessna managed to bail out, whilst the other aircraft managed to land. There's a few video's out there of the incident, this one has a few camera angles going but not of the aircraft landing like others did.

I must have missed the thread. The bit above surprises me, I wouldn't have expected the pilot to have a 'chute.

Ah well, I figured as the story was a couple of months old someone would have gotten in there before me!

As for the pilot bailing out, I was a little surprised too but I guess in these 'sporting' events they wear one as a precaution, especially as they are operating at heights where they can be used. Just as well he did!
