While I'm sure you're just being an eejit, its where gates are installed the full width of the road, and have fencing down to ground level. If it was me, I'd electrify the gates too - stop all these morons risking peoples lives and putting train drivers mental health in jeopardy. (And yes, my mate was a train driver whose train hit a pedestrian that tried to outrun the train - and lost - fatally! My mate was off work for 9 months and still has flashbacks)

I had assumed they were using "closed" as in shut down.
