Seahawk 747 Drawing Giant "12"

Thought this was pretty cool... http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE12

Here is a flight tracker for Boeing flight #12, tracing a massive "12" over the skies of Washington as we speak. This is actually happening.
It's a special 747-8 freighter, unveiled earlier this week and decked out with custom Seahawks livery. Today is its maiden voyage, and after taking off from Boeing Field south of Seattle, it's currently over the eastern part of the state, its flight path drawing 150-mile-tall numerals as a tribute to the team's fans.

...erm... A waste of time and fuel???
Alledgedly not, a flight test from the Boeing Factory, this is a brand new 747-8 freighter that Boeing decided to deck out in Seahawks colours. Apparently it's not uncommon for the Boeing pilots to indulge in some weird and wonderful flight plans when flight testing new aircraft.Edited by oj113 on Saturday 1st February 10:59
