Tornado's over basingstoke?

twice in the last few days I've had 2 Tornado's over fly my house. Im about 5 miles north of basingstoke and they seem to be heading east to west.

Never seen any jets flying about before. Has been a nice change.

Ah, I heard them as well, wondered what they were. More used to Chinooks living in Chineham

I assumed that cancellation was weather related.

it was evening time that they flew over anyway so assume they must have going or coming back from somewhere.

There was supposed to by a 7 Squadron Open Day (for families only) at Odiham on 1 May. It was supposed to include a small air display. I thought the Tornadoes might have been in the area for that.

Ah, that makes more sense. I couldn't quite grasp why someone posted a link to the Lynx crash as some sort of explanation.

It was celebrate 100years of the Sqn, the lancaster, typhoon and a few chinook fly pasts were planned but as stated above was cancelled. And not because of the weather.

There was meant to be a fly past to mark 7 Sqn's 100th, but that was cancelled out of respect to those involved in the Afghanistan Lynx crash?
Tell you what, it's a good job people just tell it like it is instead of posting unsupported links to other news stories that may or may not be anything to do with the subject under discussion and with no obvious link to it.
