Electric Boat

Anyone got any experience of electric boats, specifically a Yamaha 24 thrust motor with 2 x 110amp traction batteries.
This is being delivered next week and and as usual I have been led by my heart........

I've piloted an electric launch many times for the River Stour Trust. Just like a normal boat but quieter. But are two batteries enough? IIRC there are normally lines of batteries under the seats.

We had a Duffy electric launch at the yacht club for many years. We learned a few things along the way. 4 big golf cart batteries were about right in the power/weight ratio.

The throttle controls are a bit naff, price up a spare now as part of the deal if you can. The potentiometers do wear-out.

Very pretty boat, you should have many days of fun with her.
